This is a portion of my collected works... hope you enjoy.

Fortune

How lucky are the words to come across such lips,

and destinations trod for whence you made your trips?

For length of time is long, my heart does tear and rip,

across oceans of time, I launched my thousand ships.

How happy is the sun to shine upon thy face?

How desparate are the stars, to race across the space?

Good fortune has the mirror to gaze upon thy face,

and fortune to the bed to hold thy night’s embrace.

Roads and rivers wind in search of fabled you,

never straight do they begin, to seek you through and through.

How deep a well is yours, to hold a soul so vast?

How long must I now wait to hold you close at last?

Fear of Grace

(Published in "Letters from the Soul" ISBN: 0-7951-5160-8;

Dedicated to a memory that never was

Where to begin?  The words are not enough...

Where shall I end?... for I hope it never does...

Sometimes the dream continues on, even after my eyes have opened...

Sometimes it fades, as I grasp at memories,

Memories refusing to succumb to my will...

God has blessed me with the gift of life, and cursed me with desire...

The patience does not come fast enough...

For while desire presses us onward, time is the ultimate killer...

If there is any answer to death, it is her.

She with her mystery, she with her grace,

She with majesty, a face without replace...

Me with my nothing, questions unanswered,

She with her grace, so making her stance heard.

Me with my fear, the ultimate loss...

Hers greater still, life's rules are tossed.

For now I live on hopes of dreams, that a star may be in reach...

I am living by grace... by her grace.. and His infinite grace...

that I may see her face once again...

And that she will still want me,

despite that I am just me...

Longing

A breath, not as deep
Honey not as sweet
Light not as bright
Shorter is the sight
Hollow is the heart
And tattered are the parts
Divided is the soul
Longing to be whole
For that is a life
Without your love…
